A Pictorial Journey through Psalm 68
Let God arise, let His enemies be scattered:
let them also that hate Him flee before Him.
As smoke is driven away, so drive them away:
as wax melts before the fire,
so let the wicked perish at the presence of God.
But let the righteous be glad; let them rejoice before God:
yea, let them exceedingly rejoice.
vv. 1-3
O God, when You went forth before Your people,
when You marched through the wilderness; Selah.
The earth shook,
the heavens also dropped at the presence of God:
even Sinai itself was moved at the presence of God,
the God of Israel.
You, O God, did send a plentiful rain,
whereby You did confirm Your inheritance when it was weary.
Your congregation has dwelt therein:
You, O God, have prepared of Your goodness for the poor.
vv. 7-10
The Lord gave the word: great was the company of those that published it.
v. 11
The hill of God is as the hill of Bashan;
a high hill as the hill of Bashan.
Why leap ye, ye high hills?
This is the hill which God desires to dwell in;
yea, the LORD will dwell in it forever.
vv. 15-16
Blessed be the Lord,
who daily loadeth us with benefits,
even the God of our salvation. Selah.
v. 19
Sing unto God,
you kingdoms of the earth;
O sing praises unto the Lord; Selah.
To Him who rides upon the heavens of heavens, which were of old;
lo, He sends out His voice, and that a mighty voice.
Ascribe strength unto God: His excellency is over Israel,
and His strength is in the clouds.
O God, You are terrible* out of Your holy places:
the God of Israel is He who gives strength and power unto His people.
Blessed be God.
vv. 32-35

Beautiful sprinkling of imagery among scripture. More Bibles should probably look this way as we are so visually stimulated this day in time.

Thank you. I’ve been planning this for months and wanted all my own photos… but I can’t bring myself to go outside in a storm for the sake of a photo! 😉 So for the last one, I had to settle for a borrowed photo. But I do love the visuals as well, and I’ll do it again before I’m finished with the psalms. I’m glad you liked it. ❤
