The I AM Statements of Christ

The following Bible studies were written to help us see Jesus as the Great I AM, introduced to us in the Old Testament and made manifest in the New. He is God in the flesh, and as God He has always been and always will be. He told the religious leaders of His day:

Truly, truly, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I AM.

John 8:58

When He said this, they knew He was claiming to be God. Jesus could not be merely a prophet or a good man. For if He were not God, then He was a liar. But He is God—fully God—and yet fully man. As man, He can identify with us. As God, He can redeem us. He is our intercessor with God the Father; He is our sacrifice for sins, and He is our Great High Priest.

He is all this and ever so much more. But there were certain things that Jesus said of Himself, certain things He called Himself. These are the subjects of this study.
