How often I’ve mistaken
Mere happiness for joy.
By one too soon forsaken—
Far better to be taken
By steady stream unshaken,
Come drought or pouring rain.
But oh, to be discerning,
At Jesus’ feet still learning,
And for His presence yearning,
His likeness to attain!
Psalm 16:11 Thou wilt show me the path of life: in Thy presence is fullness of joy; at Thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

Love, love this! You are so talented! Have been enjoying your forays into watercolor painting as well! What a lovely combo your watercolors and poetry would make! ❤

What a great idea! So far I’ve had to choose: Either write a poem or paint a picture. I haven’t had time in my day for both. But it would be nice to combine the two….
