I Wait on You

Dear Lord, I know I’m only clay,
And You the skillful Potter are.
Please mold anew—
A worthy vessel, fit for use.
And this I pray,
That day by day You’ll fashion me
With hands scarred at Gethsemane.
I wait on You,
Full knowing that Your labor will not cease
Until You’ve made of me a masterpiece.

Isaiah 64:8 But now, O LORD, Thou art our Father; we are the clay, and Thou our potter; and we all are the work of Thy hand.

Jeremiah 18:4 And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it.
