Piano lost its usefulness so long ago, they say.
Only fit for scrap or junk, for now it cannot play.
The keys have lost their ivory; the case, its brilliant shine.
Even on the inside all has fallen to decline.
Not so fast. Do not lose hope. Potential lies here yet.
The eye of one who sees what could be, now its gaze has set.
Instead of junk, there lies in store a wealth of works of art.
Again this instrument may sing new songs from a new heart—
Like music that the Master made in me with my new start.
2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
This is my business… Encore! Old Pianos with a New Song
And here are some of the new songs from some of the old pianos…
An acrostic poem written for the Five Minute Friday prompt: POTENTIAL.
Photo taken at a rest area in North Carolina, 2012
I play the piano so I was immediately drawn in by the photo. The pieces of art you have created are beautiful, and I love that something that would have been scrapped can be repurposed into something so lovely!

Thank you, Lesley. I play piano too, which is why this form of art means so much to me. I appreciate you stopping by and taking the time to leave a comment. Have a wonderful day!
