FMF: Fly

seagull flying behind a ferry

When I was young, I learned to creep and crawl;
Then standing, I began to walk about.
It wasn’t long before my legs could run,
With friends and sisters I would play and shout.

I’m older now, and running less and less.
One day perhaps the walking, too, will slow.
But when I breathe my last, then I will fly,
To meet my Savior yonder I will go.

Psalm 90:10Β  The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labor and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away.
