the Zartman family 25 years ago, most of them anyway
In 1992 I was privileged to spend six months in Bolivia, South America, as a short-term missionary.
In 1993 I was privileged to spend 10 weeks in Mexico doing much the same thing.
All these years I have longed to return to both Bolivia and Mexico, but God has kindly said no, for He had other plans. He has sent my Spanish students to these and other countries. He also sent one of my sons to Bolivia on a summer mission team.
And now, 25 years later, my daughter has graduated from high school, and I get to take her to Mexico to meet the missionaries with whom I served so long ago!
They are in a different city, and I am sure 25 years has changed them as much as it has me. But what else will have changed? What will have stayed the same? We shall know in three weeks’ time, and I can’t wait!
Acts 18:21b I will return again unto you, if God will.
Today’s Five-Minute-Friday topic: RETURN

the Zartman family now
So delighted for you! And what an added blessing to be able to take your daughter with you! Please keep a journal and write about it for us when you return! 🙂 ❤ ❤

What a wonderful privilege to be able to visit them again! I’m sure your daughter is excited, too, to meet the family you stayed with those years ago and to see the area there. Blessings to you! I’m your neighbor at #FiveMinuteFriday.

That’s amazing that you’re getting to return to Mexico and for your daughter to go too! I’m sure it will be lovely to catch up with people after all that time and to see how much has changed. Visiting from FMF.
