Parched grass turned yellow
Now withers in the sunlight;
Flowers lack luster;
Soil begins to crack open,
Inviting moisture inside.
Bright sky turns cloudy
While distant thunder rumbles,
Wind stirs in the trees,
Bowing leaves anticipate
The coming of a shower.

You’ve beautifully captured the coming of a rain shower… looking forward to those summer showers that are just around the bend. 🙂 ❤

I’ll just be happy for summer! It’s still so chilly outside that I often take a blanket with me to sit in the backyard. Of course, I must remember this when it gets swelteringly hot. 🙂

I like how those leaves bow and anticipate the rain.

Nice! There are some things that always let us know what is coming, both in nature and in relationships!
