The bud arrives so small
So delicate and frail
And in its own due time
It opens up and smiles
Drinking in the sunshine
Drinking in the sunshine
Until it has its fill
Then humbly bowing low
It languishes and droops
As petals fade and fall
Isaiah 40:8 The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God shall stand forever.
1 Peter 1:24-25 For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withers, and the flower thereof falls away, but the word of the Lord endures forever….

I’ve been watching flowers blossom and fade for weeks now. It’s so wonderful how God designed them to take turns so that there is always something to behold. 🙂

So true! I hadn’t thought of it in quite that way, but it is truly wonderful of our God to plan such detail for our joy! ❤ ❤
