Of planning my own course,
And making quite a mess of it all—
I’m tired.
Of running the race in my own strength
Instead of waiting on God—
I’m tired.
Of holding onto grudges
That are fast becoming roots of bitterness—
I’m tired.
Of staying up late night after night,
Worrying about things I cannot change—
I’m tired.
Dear Lord, I give You
My plans,
My race,
My grudges, and
My cares—
Because I’m tired of living Your life without You.
1 Peter 5:7 Casting all your care upon Him; for He cares for you.

You write better poetry in 5 minutes than I could ever hope to write even if I were given a lifetime to write it! This is fantastic! A new fave!! ❤️❤️

Thank you so much, Barbie! I got as far as clicking on your link yesterday, then got distracted. But I finally got to read it all the way to the end this morning. What a great reminder of the importance of sleep! I pray you get yours.
