We All Are Leaves

Changing Leaves (1)

We all are leaves.
We bud, shiny and green, wrinkly and curled up.
We stretch out and face the sun for a day or so.
We tremble in the wind.
We hang our heads low when the rain comes.
We wither and fade.
We fall to the ground, and thenβ€”
We return to the dust from which we came.

Genesis 3:19 In the sweat of your face shall you eat bread, until you return unto the ground; for out of it were you taken: for dust you are, and unto dust shall you return.
