Quiet My Disquiet

shore-bird-pensacola-beach-floridaSome days I feel on top of things and everyone’s content,
But then come days just like today—composure’s quickly spent.
Frustration soars and with it mounts the timbre of my voice.
It makes me madder still to know the error of my choice.
Please quiet my disquiet, Lord. I ask for daily grace,
And some day maybe they will see Your glory on my face.

  1. Oh wow, Sister–you echo my thoughts/feelings/prayer so well!!! Sometimes I despair that I’m ever being changed “from glory to glory”…I sure don’t see Him reflected in my face or voice. But He keeps telling me to just walk in grace, don’t look at me, but HIM instead… God bless you abundantly ❤
