Some days I feel on top of things and everyone’s content,
But then come days just like today—composure’s quickly spent.
Frustration soars and with it mounts the timbre of my voice.
It makes me madder still to know the error of my choice.
Please quiet my disquiet, Lord. I ask for daily grace,
And some day maybe they will see Your glory on my face.

Love the song “Breath on Me”. When I feel overwhelmed, of course I pray, but love singing this to myself

Oh wow, Sister–you echo my thoughts/feelings/prayer so well!!! Sometimes I despair that I’m ever being changed “from glory to glory”…I sure don’t see Him reflected in my face or voice. But He keeps telling me to just walk in grace, don’t look at me, but HIM instead… God bless you abundantly ❤

That is the key—We must take our eyes off ourselves and look on Him only. Easier said than done, I know. And we renew our commitment to Him daily. God bless you too, dear sister!

I like that gentle word: “we renew our commitment to Him daily”–it’s almost an unconscious thing now, in my walk, and beautiful.
