(to the tune of “So Send I You”)
Lord, here am I to labor unrewarded,
To serve unpaid, unloved, unsought, unknown,
Unknown, unloved by all but my dear children,
Lord, here am I to teach my young at home.
Lord, here am I; but, Father, I am fearful.
I know not how to teach, to love, to guide.
My friends and loved ones think me an eccentric.
Lord, here am I; in You I shall abide.
Lord, here am I; please help me mold my children,
So they will learn to love and serve You too,
They may be fairly smart; that does not matter,
So long as they will be to their God true.
As the Father has called me, so shall I do.
My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. James 1:2-6
