Hello. I am a joyful wife and mother of three, just turned loose the last of my little chicks, and getting ready to spread my own writing wings. Twenty-six years ago I earned a B.A. in English because my heart's desire was to write. Since that time I've worked as a teacher, musician, cleaning lady, tax professional, and artist, but never as a writer. In the past year, several friends have encouraged me to pick up the baton and run with it. By creating this blog, I took the first baby step toward becoming a published author. The journey will likely be longer than I can imagine, but it has finally begun, and that's all that matters.

We are so excited for the LAST Downtown FWB Street Fest of the Spring Series and the kick off for Concerts at the Landing!! We have a lot of fun planned for the evening including over 40 local vendors and businesses, Emerald Flame doing fire performances at 7:00, 7:30, and 8:00pm, GetBig Entertainment at Vandegriff Park, Fantasea Faces doing face painting at the Landing, as well as 4 amazing food vendors!! Concert at the Landing from 6-8pm. (You will find Encore Old Pianos behind Run with It.)

My Father took me out of my comfort zone once again, this time by means of a custom order on Etsy. It is difficult to capture a landscape on a tiny ivory keytop head, but I did my best with this Louisiana plantation.
