Eternal Security

sheepIf I fell,
Though all hell
Should full well
My soul sell
To expel

However,
Pluck never
Nor sever
Forever
And ever.

I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of My hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of My Father’s hand. I and my Father are one.

  1. This is so wonderful…am I starting to sound redundant?? Oh well–again I’m struck that we both have similar (hell) topics on our minds/in our poetry today. Your poem is much more lovely, lofty–whereas mine reflects the battle in the spiritual realm which I frequently contend with in the very late hours. And before you might advise me to “get to bed earlier, Sister!”, I tend to resist sleep because I have a lot of nightmares. It really bugs me that the enemy is so persistent–I deliberately watched almost an hour of “church TV” to cleanse the disruptive thoughts, thinking that would “fix ‘im”; but I woke from a horrible dream anyway. So the poem will post soon, and it does end with a brief urgent prayer, so I hope it’s okay. (I’ve now filled up 2 inches of your Comment Box–talk, talk, talk, talk. talk…. 🙂 <3)

    • You may talk away, my friend. 🙂 I’m sorry about your nightmares. Have you tried reading the psalms at night? I used to have to do that to get to sleep. Last night I didn’t want to go to bed either, but for a different reason. My home became a battleground, and I was greatly disturbed by how poorly I handled the situation. A poem came out of it, and it will be here Friday morning. Praying God will silence your demons. 🙂 He is able!
