“Father, I see here the wood and the fire,
But where is the lamb for the offering?”
“My son, God will provide Himself
A Lamb for a burnt offering.”
And He did,
Both then and centuries later, in due time,
When the Son of God came
As the Lamb slain before the foundation of the world,
The Lamb provided to bear the sins of every one
So that we might be called the children of God.
God provided the Lamb for my salvation.
Can I not also trust Him to provide me with such paltry things
As food, clothing, and shelter?
Can I not also trust Him to provide me with such needful things
As strength, rest, and peace?
Indeed I can!
God will provide
These things and more—
All that I need,
God will provide.

This is a great prompt to remind us of all of his ability to provide great and small. I also “feel” your author statement – I too am older and still trying to figure out my next steps – visiting from #FMF 43

Thank you, Donna. It gets easier as I grow more comfortable just following Christ. 🙂 Easier said than done, but it has taken a lifetime of learning.
