I like the time of day when all is still,
The early morning crisp and cool and wet;
If I must rise at dawn, well then, I will,
But staying up at night is better yet.

Nice meter and rhyme. I also like the still times of day (or night).

I really enjoy early morning when the sun is just rising,but don’t usually get out that early. On the other hand, I enjoy sitting out in the evening watching the sun go down. Then all the sudden the birds quit singing as it gets dark, then it’s really quite.
Very good thoughts

So, Angela! Does this mean you are a “Backside of the Night” person, too? I love the stillness of the night too! It’s the best time to write for me.

Not like I used to be, but yes. I am more productive as a writer at 11pm than at 11am because the distractions are fewer.

I so agree. The time I really love the best if I wake up for it is between 4 a.m.. and 6 a.m. Some of my best work has come at that time. My Muse seems to help me the most then. LOL!
